Soshu Leonard Carlson Leonard Carlson is a 3rd degree Black Belt in karate and is Pastor of the United Methodist Church in Hubbard, which is where the classes are taught. Class time are Thursday from 6:30- 8 pm. Vicky Bell and Leonard Carlson says their goals are to promote the Japanese style of Shotokan Karate in the surrounding areas. Eagle Grove Shotokan Karate teams up with Karate for Christ The Advanced students of Eagle Grove Shotokan Karate which included Barb Strait, Doug Strait & Brad Staten with Instructor Vicky Bell all went up to help out with the Karate for Christ. Karate for Christ is a new school in Hubbard, Iowa and is lead by One of the Instructors from Eagle Grove Shotokan Karate, Leonard Carlson. This new school offers kids karate, adult karate & self- defense for men and women, this school teaches Shotokan Karate to all different age groups and genders.
